THANK YOU AND WELCOME THE NEW OWNERS!
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all - my extended family of Longford Veterinary Clinic for your wonderful support
for over a decade. After a long consideration I have decided to follow my passion for Integrated Veterinary Medicine with focus on Western Herbal Medicine, Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine and keep offering K-laser treatments.
OWNERS - LONGFORD VETERINARY CLINIC
The Longford Veterinary Clinic will be changing ownership at the end of June 2018. Dr Martina McPeace, who has owned and run the practice since 2006, will be handing over the reins to Dr Peter Wishart and Dr Sam Morgan.
With a combined experience of over 10 years in rural mixed animal practice, Peter and Sam aim to continue providing the same high quality service to the animals and people of Longford, as well as the Northern Midlands and surrounds of Launceston. They are
excited about expanding the service to be a truly mixed animal practice - covering all creatures great and small!
Both Sam and Peter have spent several years working together at Scottsdale Veterinary Services in north-east Tasmania. Recently, Sam has
been working in the Northern Tablelands region of NSW, and Peter has been working in eastern Gippsland, Victoria. They have returned to Tasmania with their families to establish themselves in the Northern Midlands and provide a genuine mixed animal rural veterinary
service to this region. Along with expanding the business, they will also be offering full 24 hour emergency services.
Both Sam and Peter greatly enjoy working in country practice, and relish the challenge of working with a variety of animal species.
They aim to provide a friendly, high quality, affordable and personalised veterinary service to all dogs, cats and other small furry (and feathered/scaly!!!) creatures of this area. Sam and Peter also have considerable experience in production animal medicine
and surgery; especially dairy and beef cattle. They are really keen to work with farmers to improve animal health and welfare, and assist producers to grow the profitability of their enterprises. Sam and Peter are also experienced equine clinicians who are
passionate about providing a caring and attentive on-farm service to horse owners in the region.
They’re both really looking forward to beginning work and meeting the people and animals of Longford and the surrounding area.
